My job hunt/journey has been over for awhile. And, it's time that I make it official on my website.
I have accepted a position as an Assistant Professor of Education at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. I will be teaching mathematics and education classes! So...this summer my husband and I will be moving to Newberg, Oregon. I'm excited to experience living in the Pacific Northwest and teaching/researching at my new university.

The dissertation was defended June 25th. What a ride this was! Although the dissertation is behind me, I am looking forward to still doing more with my data!
(This picture is on my defense day with one of my former students turned friend from when I was a high school math teacher. She a high school math teacher now!)
Santa Barbara, Honduras
This summer I visited Honduras again. I spent time at The Garden of Love and Hope. Honestly, I always have a hard time coming back to the states and it's still hard. Luckily, I had my dissertation defense to prepare for to distract me and PME 39 preparations too. Although I enjoy my life and work here, I truly love my time in Honduras with the kids more. I feel like I am at "home" with my family when I go to El Jardín in Honduras.

It's not the most responsible idea to go to Australia before moving across the United States. But, before that big move... I had to attend PME 39 in Tasmania! I have never been to Australia and I love PME. It was such an exciting adventure! And, one of my favorite conference so far.
RECOMMENDATION #1: Download Davide Clarke's research report from PME 39 about boundary crossing. It changed my life!
RECOMMENDATION #2: Pet a Kangaroo.

This summer is way more insane than last summer
and I didn't think that would ever be possible.
